To combat the potential of a Digital Divide, we will create a retail space on the Canal for in-person education about the project, with staff who can answer questions, a scale model of the proposed rezoning, and several workstations allowing access to the web portal for visitors. The space will also serve as a meeting point for many of our active endeavors.

SUMMITS
Meet Me at Gowanus
Our first summit will be Meet Me at Gowanus to provide a launch pad and confirmation of engagement work already completed with the various stakeholders and agencies.
Throughout our Pre-Engagement The Closers LLC will keep this site updated regularly and continue to work with the community.
Growing Gowanus
Next, we will invite everyone to Growing Gowanus to review the progress made. During this session many of our stakeholders will lead and facilitate discussion using multiple techniques and styles, from Open Space Techology to Story Mapping to good old fashioned panel discussions.
Growing Gowanus will also mark the beginning of our collaboration with local organizations who will lead walking tours throughout our work with the community. If you are interested in joining a walk, please fill out or contact form and we will inform you when they open for sign ups.
Living Gowanus
At the last summit, we will celebrate the achievements of our community with Living Gowanus. All stakeholders will be invited to participate in every summit, with people in leadership positions asked to help organize and facilitate the process.
